Ecomonsters Puppet Show

sci-fi show of robotic puppets and clown

Show 3rd place at the international festival "Fiere del teatro 2019" in Sarmede (TV) and 1st place at the festival "EuroPuppetFestiValsesia 2021" in Valsesia (VC)

In their secret laboratory, Professor Sputnik and the robotics doctor Laika are attempting the greatest feat of their careers as pataphysical scientists: creating life from matter! But Sputnik is notoriously penniless and the only material it has available are old and broken objects recovered from the landfill where it lives. Furthermore, Laika continues to cause trouble by chasing a mischievous creature that has gotten out of control. Between explosions, unlikely experiments, sudden short circuits and constant bickering, Sputnik and Laika will not give up. And so the objects, assembled to form bizarre, unpredictable, sometimes disturbing, robotic creatures, will finally have the chance to tell their story. But ultimately one question remains: what is "alive"?

Sputnik, Laika and their string puppets, built entirely with recycled materials, will accompany the public on a surprising journey where the laws of physics are overturned and everyday life becomes extraordinary. An Eco-Science-Fantasy-Comic retelling of Frankenstein.
